OUR TEAM

TIMOTHY HEADINGTON, PRESIDENT, CEO

Mr. Headington’s passion for the oil and gas business was inspired by his father and his uncle, both oilmen. The Headington family formed an oil and gas company in Oklahoma City in the 1970’s and relocated to Dallas, Texas in the 1980’s. Headington focused on the acquisition of producing properties from both major and mid-level independent oil companies. Those efforts resulted in the successful acquisition of non-operated properties and an accumulation of assets across many of the onshore basins in the United States. In the 1990’s, Tim expanded to operated property acquisitions, and the result was two major asset developments by Headington Oil Company in the Texas Coastal Bend and in the Bakken Shale in Montana and North Dakota. Tim graduated from the University of Oklahoma and continues to be an active supporter of his alma mater. Tim was honored in 2004 with the OU Regents’ Alumni award and was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate in 2011. In 2014, Tim was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
